Apple Store in Waikiki Celebrates Grand Opening on September 27th

On Saturday, September 27th, Apple Inc. opened it’s third and largest Apple store on O`ahu. Located in the Royal Hawaiian Center on Kalakaua Avenue, the front of the store was masterfully constructed with lava rock, glass and metal.

Although fellow blogger Ryan Ozawa says that the turnout was sparse (at one point, approximately 400 people in line), Honolulu is now in second place when it comes to “most stores per square mile.” This editor’s take: Although I appreciate them being close to my location, I’m simply amazed at how we can get three stores built in the same approximate geographic vicinity of each other and yet none has been built/considered for the West side (Kapolei/Mililani/etc.) of the island.
With the Waikiki Store opening its doors, Apple Inc. now has 246 physical stores. Videos by fellow local bloggers are below, enjoy!
